Minecraft: Pocket Edition Update Brings Fallout-Themed Skins
What do you get when you cross a post-apocalyptic RPG with a sandbox video game? The answer: the Fallout Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft: Pocket Edition!
The pack has already been available for Console Edition users since December, but Mojang released the new skin and texture pack for Pocket Edition just a few days ago. With the availability of the Mash-Up Pack, Pocket Edition players can now integrate Fallout’s trademark bleak landscapes into the game, along with the addition of grotesquely mutated mobs like giant scorpions, super-sized mole rats, and two-headed cows. Mojang also warns about the “poor llamas”, leading you to wonder how they transformed cute and adorable llamas into Fallout-worthy monstrosities.
All of these do sound depressing, especially if you’re a fan of Minecraft’s gently rolling hills and lush green pastures. But, if you’re a big Fallout fan (and an avid Pocket Edition player), you’ll definitely love the fact that Minecraft developer Mojang has found a way to create a mashup of your two favorite games.
Aside from the interesting textures, you’ll also have access to new skins that will transform you into your favorite Fallout characters. Whether you want to become ghoul mayor John Hancock, private detective Nick Valentine, or beloved mascot Vault Boy, the new Fallout Mash-Up Pack will give you the skin of your choice.
And that’s not all: by downloading the new pack, you’ll get to enjoy a great soundtrack that will give you intense Fallout nostalgia and flashbacks. This means that you can build your own version of a post-apocalyptic future and act out your Fallout fantasies while excellent music plays in the background.
You can get the Fallout Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft: Pocket Edition for $5.99. It’s a bit pricey, but the cost is worth it especially for Fallout fans. Learn more about the new texture pack by visiting the official Minecraft blog.
